What Is The Deadline For Employers To Revise And Revise I-9 Documents
I-9 Form 2022 Printable Form – Employers must update employee documents whenever an employee’s employment authorization (EAD) or receipt expires. Reverification should occur at least one year prior to the date of expiration of the work authorization. The worker may lose their job if the employer fails to renew the authorization. I-9 forms with green cards that have expired since the time they expire, they shouldn’t be issued. Green cards are proof of permanent residence in the United States, and they expire in the same manner as driver’s licenses do. However, the date they expire does not mean that the holder has lost their authorization to work in America.
